The Youth Ministry at First Baptist Church Roswell, GA.
The youth ministry at FBC-R is committed to helping youth to connect with each other in a positive and safe environment. We are fun-loving, faith based, and Christ centered. Our goal is to make a difference in our young people, one youth at a time. We have dedicated hardworking leaders and instructors who have a real understanding of what it means to be a pre-teen and teenager in today’s society. Our youth know that they are not on this journey alone, and that Christ, their family, and their church are with them no matter what may come their way. Together, our heart’s desire is to honor God with our lives and to express our faith through missions and ministry. Come and be a part of a great group of youth who are searching for their place in God’s Kingdom. Find your place here at FBC-R.

Our theme this year is “Growing In Grace” and we are currently studying the 4 Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The lessons deal with Jesus' encounters with common & sick people and how He extends Grace to them. Luke 5:12-13 And it came to pass, when He was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And He put forth His hand, and touched him, saying, "I will: be thou clean." And immediately the leprosy departed from him. | ||

From Robert's Desk
Are we fisherman or fishers of men?
Matthew 4:18-20 says: As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew> They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. "Come, follow me", Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." At once they left their nets and followed Him.
What does it really mean to follow Him? These two words seem so simple yet behind them we discover they mean so much coming from the person who spoke them. As a child I remember playing a game called Follow the Leader. You were supposed to do whatever the leader did in order to stay in the game. If you didn't, you lost.
As Christians we follow a similar path. We choose to follow Christ every day of our lives because without Him, we would be lost. We choose to die to self and live for Him, to follow Him. God clothed us with the power of His Spirit so that we may lead others to him.
For the next few months our youth will be studying the Bible series Follow Me by David Platt. Youth will gain a stronger, truer understanding of what it really means to follow Jesus.
God Bless,
Robert

"In His House" Youth Bible Study
Wednesday Nights - 6:30 - 7:30 pm for Grades 6-12 in the Joyhouse & Youth Area
I would like to take this time to once again say how excited we are about the newcomers to the 6th grade Sunday school class. We hope they and the other Sunday school class will enjoy what we have planned; things like 6 wk. studies throughout the year as well as individual studies that will be led by some of our parents. All designed to help them grow in their faith walk with Christ.
Parents, I'm thanking you in advance for your love and support for this ministry.
